テレビドラマ、映画、舞台などで俳優として活動する一方、旅先で写真を撮り始めたことをきっかけに、次第に写真表現へと深く向き合うようになる。

近年は、万物に宿る見えざる気配や神秘性に心を惹かれ、自然界に存在する光、水、風景のかたちをモチーフに、詩的な感覚を湛えた作品を発表している。目に見える風景の奥に潜む時間や記憶、感情の層をすくい上げるように静かな問いを投げかける。

2024年より調香師・沙里との協働を開始。「香」と「写真」という異なる感覚領域を交差させることで、視覚と嗅覚の境界を越えた表現の可能性を探る展覧会を継続的に発表している。

Mayu Tsuruta

Mayu Tsuruta is an actor and photographer whose practice spans television dramas, films, and stage productions. Her engagement with photography began during her travels and gradually evolved into a sustained artistic pursuit.

In recent years, she has been drawn to the invisible presences and sense of mystery inherent in all things. Using motifs drawn from the natural world—light, water, and landscape—she creates works imbued with poetic sensitivity. Her photographs seek to reveal layers of time, memory, and emotion that lie beneath visible reality, quietly inviting viewers into a contemplative space.

Since 2024, she has collaborated with perfumer Sari, exploring the intersection of fragrance and photography. Through this ongoing collaboration, she investigates the possibilities of expression that emerge when visual and olfactory senses converge, presenting exhibitions that transcend the boundaries of individual media.
